Clackamas Workforce Partnership opens RFP process for NW Promise Clackamas Workforce Partnership is soliciting competitive proposals for the delivery of workforce development services to adults and dislocated workers through grant program
Clackamas County, Oregon (March 6, 2017) – Clackamas Workforce Partnership, the local workforce development area comprised of Clackamas County, is activity soliciting proposal for the delivery of workforce development services to adults and dislocated workers under the NW Promise Department of Labor H-1B America’s Promise job-driven Grant Program and the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).
“I am thrilled to announce this opportunity for our county that will cultivate a diverse, homegrown talent pipeline to meet the hiring needs of the Healthcare sector,” said Bridget Dazey, Executive Director at Clackamas Workforce Partnership. “NW Promise will create a pathway to Health careers for over 900 workers in the Portland-Vancouver region.”
As part of the NW Promise $6 million H-1B Grant through the U.S. Department of Labor’s America’s Promise, the grant will result in a contract that is anticipated to begin July 1, 2017 and end December 31, 2020. Planned total funding for the three and one-half period of this RFP is $155,750 to fund a .5 FTE Community Based Organization (CBO) Career Coach and the delivery of supportive services to participants enrolled in the grant. Clackamas Workforce Partnership reserves the option to extend the contracts for an additional 18 months based on future funding availability, contractor’s performance and other factors to be determined.
